Devikulam

Devikulam is a quiet, serene hill town, also known as the pond or lake of the Devi.

Only eight kilometres from Munnar, Devikulam is reminiscent of paradise on earth. The enticing hill town is famous for its unusual flora and fauna. The Sita Devi lake, after which the place is named, is called so because the goddess Sita supposedly travelled through the region and bathed in the lake at Devikulam hills.

The lake is revered for its medicinal properties - all the more reason for a swim. Devikulam is a favourite among the young and the old as there is something for everyone here, from comfortable picnic spots to swimming, biking, off-roading, hiking, rafting, trout fishing and trekking.
